What Is Scalp Scar Coverage (Smp)?

Scalp scar coverage is a specialized cosmetic tattooing procedure that camouflages the visible scar on the scalp from surgical scars (FUT/FUE), to burn injuries and other forms of injuries in the area, to blend seamlessly with the surrounding hair. It’s a non-invasive treatment where the pigment is implanted directly into the scar tissue to reduce its appearance. We use a dotting method that mimics the hair follicles, matching the pigment to the surrounding hair follicles and skin tone. The results will create an illusion of hair follicles that naturally blend into the rest of the scalp.

Why Choose Us?

As scar tissue isn’t like normal skin, it requires advanced skill and precision. Our SMP specialist is a highly trained Paramedical tattoo artist and has worked with all types of scalp scars using both Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP) for hair follicle illusion, and skin-tone camouflage tattooing for bald or light pigmented scalps. We specialize in natural-looking scalp scar cover-up treatment, using high quality pigments in a sterile safe environment.

Advantages Of Having Your Scalp Scar Covered?

The biggest advantage of having your head scar cover up is that it visually conceals the scar itself. Due to the specialized method of implanting the pigment, the hair follicles look natural and mimic real hair follicles. It creates a more uniform natural looking scalp, which will boost confidence and self-esteem. Once the area has healed, there is no need for daily upkeep like powders, sprays or concealers.
